Soothing Sounds for Sleep creates long-play soothing sounds, ASMR and white noise to help people fall asleep, focus and recover from stress.
Our Story
Soothing Sounds for Sleep is the brainchild of a graphic designer who has always been sensitive to sound. He grew up listening to records and movie soundtracks and would get full-body tingles from great sound design. In 2011 he caught the ASMR bug, and around 2015 he began experimenting with producing his own ASMR and relaxation recordings.
The Soothing Sounds for Sleep YouTube channel was created on January 4, 2019. The first uploads that month included heavy thunderstorm and rain, a crackling fireplace, crickets with light rain and the 10-hour ticking clock that has since been played more than 300,000 times. When the pandemic hit in 2020, production ramped up with the goal of helping people cope with stress, anxiety and sleepless nights at home.

Why We Make Soothing Sounds
Good sleep and a calm mind change everything. Steady, gentle sound masks the noises that wake us, gives anxious thoughts something peaceful to follow and, played every night, becomes a powerful cue that it is time to rest. Many of our recordings play on a black screen so your room stays dark, and most run for three or ten hours so the sound never stops in the middle of the night.
Every sound is recorded and produced in-house. New soothing sounds, ASMR and kitten shorts are added regularly, so subscribe on YouTube and browse all soothing sounds videos here on the site.
Our videos are made for relaxation and entertainment and are not a substitute for medical treatment. If you have ongoing sleep or anxiety concerns, please talk with your doctor.
