Not medical advice

Soothing Sounds for Sleep creates soothing sounds, white noise and ASMR for relaxation and entertainment. Nothing on soothingsoundsforsleep.com or our YouTube channel is medical, psychological or health advice, and our sounds are not a treatment for insomnia, anxiety, tinnitus, ADHD or any other condition. Articles on the Site about sleep and stress are general information only. If you have ongoing trouble sleeping, anxiety, ringing in your ears or any other health concern, please talk with your doctor or another qualified professional. Never ignore or delay professional advice because of something you read or heard here.

Listening safely

  • Keep the volume low. Many of our videos run for three to ten hours. Listening at high volume for long periods, especially with headphones or earbuds, can damage your hearing. Set the volume at a soft, comfortable level before you fall asleep.
  • Babies and young children. If you use sound for an infant, follow your pediatrician’s guidance: keep the volume quiet and place the speaker well away from the crib, never inside it. Do not put headphones on a sleeping child.
  • Do not drive or operate machinery while listening to sounds meant to make you drowsy.
  • Stay aware. Make sure masking sounds do not keep you from hearing smoke alarms, a crying child or other important sounds.
  • Pets. Some animal sounds, such as purring or bird calls, can excite pets. Turn the volume down or stop playback if your pet seems stressed.

Results vary

Sound affects everyone differently. We cannot promise that any sound will help you sleep, focus or relax. Stop listening if a sound causes discomfort, and you use our sounds at your own risk.
